Almost 15,000 Communist Party members and cadres fled the country or went missing in the first half of last
year, according to a report yesterday.

6,528 party members and cadres became "unaccounted for". A total of 8,371 fled abroad and 1,252 committed
suicide.

試訳／ 同紙はその情報を省ごとに統計数量を明らかにしており、広東、河南、福建の三省が上位を占めて
いる。

決して好ましいとはいえない情報を、出典を伏せて、公開したのだろうか？ 謎だ。
